With Shared Efforts Come Shared Benefits
On the morning of June 3, 2016, SKSHU Paint Co., Ltd. went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (603737.SH). A group of special guests were invited to the IPO ceremony. They held different positions at the company, including veteran employees that had been with 3TREES since its inception. “They are the most respected persons at 3TREES, and are thanked in this way because of their steadfast faith in the company and their joint efforts which have made 3TREES what it is today.”
3TREES had a joint-stock restructuring as early as July 2007 and was the first company in the domestic coatings industry to have an employee stock ownership program. And it was introduced at a time when the company began earning profits, making employee stock ownership almost risk-free. The employees followed the company all the way and worked in one heart and mind. With shared efforts came shared benefits. By the time the company went public on the A-share market, many of them became millionaires.
In 2017, 3TREES initiated the first phase of its equity incentive plan, with participants including more than 300 senior and middle management members, core R&D personnel and employees with outstanding contribution to the company, who became partners of the company. In 2018, 3TREES launched a new employee stock ownership plan.
