When Working 13 Hours a Day Becomes a Welcome Choice

2018.12.04

The fourth quarter is the busiest season for the company, a time when colleagues, especially office employees at the decorating paint division, often work eight hours in the day and then voluntarily work five more hours in the evening. As a core division, the decorating paint division shoulders the expectations of the entire company, and colleagues at the division, from division head to department heads to sales representatives, all take working long overtime hours for granted in the season, even though not required to.

In the evening of almost every workday, assistants would assist directors in preparing the sales statements for the current day, summarizing and analyzing the sales, and providing data support for sales advancement on the following day; members of the distribution team would have brainstorming meetings with directors in the evening on strategies for advancing distribution; and the investor attraction office would work day in and day out to aggregate data, design sheets, and communicate with frontline colleagues of the marketing department. However late customers pay their visits, they are always well received and have their matters well addressed, so that managers have to work longer overtime and leave office at very late in the night. The order processing team also has their share of hard work, and it is common to work overtime even in the weekend. Sometimes they have to wait for a customer’s order till late in the night.

It is thanks to the outstanding teamwork and extraordinary dedication of the entire staff across the company over the previous quarters that they are greeted with record sales figures in November. “Every today is for a better tomorrow”. All employees always go the extra mile in everything they do. They are eager to grow and ready to take up more responsibility. They make working 13 hours a day a welcome choice and celebrate and share in the company’s high growth together!
