3TREES Public Welfare Foundation, together with the First Hospital of Putian City in China and Mr. Fang Chao, the director in Department of Otolaryngology, launched the "Cochlear Implant" project. 3TREES Public Welfare Foundation donated 300,000 yuan to provide free cochlear implant surgery for deaf patients in poor families. It is used to help pre-lingual deaf children and post-lingual deaf adults in poor families to walk out of the silent world and listen to the beauty of the world.

At present, the cochlear implant donated by 3TREES Public Welfare Foundation has successfully completed the implantation operation. Among the five recipients, the oldest is 58 years old, and the youngest is only 3 years old. With the help of the First Hospital of Putian City, the recipients successfully passed the first start-up and commissioning after cochlear implantation. Later, after comprehensive hearing and language rehabilitation training, they can communicate normally.

It is reported that the "Cochlear Implant" project is a project led by director Fang Chao. Since the introduction of cochlear implant technology in 2007, after continuous development, it can now be performed cochlear implant surgery including The Nurotron cochlear implants, Austria cochlear implants and Australian cochlear implants, etc. This not only fill the gap in Putian's cochlear implant technology, but also become the gospel of deaf patients and families.
